MetaPass is architectured in a distributed way so there is no single point of failure.

Rather than relying on a centralized system to store and/or pass credentials, MetaPass is completely decentralized. The MetaPass Administration Server is used only to update users, who can use MetaPass even when disconnected (as a remote user or if the server goes down).

Because of its distributed nature, it is scalable to any number of concurrent users, and users have access to all of their applications without the need to be connected.

You also choose your favorite encryption algorithm, and MetaPass takes care of the rest. MetaPass comes with automatic, secure backup functionality allowing you to rest assured that, even in a worst case scenario, your data is safe.
